When you take your companion parrot home, make sure to ease them into their new environment. Some companion parrots can get perturbed when their routines are modified around. If you have one that is taking some time to get changed, be assured this is standard. They can eventually get used to you and their new home, but they may make things a little fascinating for a while until they do especially if you have one that talks. You need to provide your parrot with a few accessories in their cage so that they can keep themselves entertained when you are not around to socialize with them. A few accessories you may want to consider can include a perk, a mirror, and a few toys.
