I am interested when I get older in buying a macaw… But I am not sure which one I want, a military, scarlet, or blue and gold. I want to know roughly how much they cost?

You can find mini-macaws such as the yellow collared for about $500. Military babies will run a little more. Find a good breeder and buy a hand-fed baby directly from the breeder… you will get a better price. For the larger macaws… you are looking at about $800-1500. Sometimes they can go up to about $2000, but that is a bit much. Find a good reputable breeder and you will get a reasonable price… but they are expensive. I really like the yellow-collared! They are so cute, smaller so they are easier to handle and so sweet… plus they are affordable!
