My Quaker parrot, or Monk parakeet, shows off his “go through the hoop” trick. His got the limited hold down to a couple of seconds now. He gets a seed for a reward. Normally he eats pellets, fruits, veggies pasta and other foods. Seeds are a special treat.

Scaly breasted lorikeet. This little fella is Queensland grain grower John Coggan’s pet. He and his team of four have just broken the record for the most wheat planted in 24 hours (905 ha). Captured by ABC Radio’s Robin McConchie. As featured on 612 ABC Brisbane Breakfast with Spencer Howson.
